Project Description:

As the largest city in New Mexico, Albuquerque faces rising violent crime rates, linked to drug use, poverty, and sustained unemployment (Albuquerque Journal). Though as many as 4,592 registered non-profits have spent both money and time to bring forth lasting solutions in Albuquerque, there is a large disparity in funding and lack of resources among these organizations (Cause IQ). This lack has unfortunately cased a spirit of competition among many of these nonprofits as they perceive the need to “fight” for donors and people (staff, clients, and volunteers). Siloed operations prohibit collaboration and limits the potential for bigger, more sustainable solutions.

RallyABQ, a convening organization, proposes the creation and implementation of an integrated technology platform that will serve as the catalyst for collaboration and outcome-based solution creation that is a wholistic approach to needs in the community and benefits offered by organizations through:

• Single technology platform across multiple providers with real time information, availability, referrals, and applications.
• Ability to distribute and use poverty alleviation funding based on reliable data.
• Data driven R&D for new programs/services that address specific gaps.
• Ability to identify and recommend policy changes to address barriers in poverty

Who is involved? Who else needs to be involved?
• Software Developers
• Leaders with experience in web platforms for tracking
• Local ABQ Leaders and Influencers

Project Goals:

1. Intentional time of reintegration with community leaders across sectors.
2. Relaunch of RallyABQ, establishing an official hub of operations for community transformation projects.
3. The creation and implementation of a technology platform that will serve as the catalyst for collaboration and outcome-based solution creation.

Project metrics:

• Establish goal for connection, outreach, and engagement each quarter
• Research technology platforms being used by others to decide on integration.
